Troubleshooting Sound Issues
Sometimes during shipping, components within your unit can shift slightly, which may affect performance and result in unexpected sounds. One common cause of sound issues is a misaligned red bushing at the end of the unit.
Here's how to check and resolve this:
1. Check the Red Bushing:
- Locate the Bushing: The red bushing is a small, cylindrical component located at the end of the unit.
- Inspect for Misalignment: Carefully examine the bushing. If the unit has been moved or dropped during shipping, the bushing may not be seated correctly. Look for signs of misalignment, such as the bushing being off-center or the axle/spindle not being centered within it.
2. Reinstall the Bushing:
- Gentle Removal: Carefully remove the red bushing.
- Proper Alignment: When reinstalling the bushing, ensure it is centered correctly. The axle/spindle should be positioned precisely in the center of the bushing.
- Secure Installation: Once properly aligned, reinstall the bushing securely according to the instructions in your product manual.
3. Verify Alignment and Test:
- Check for Noise Reduction: After reinstalling the bushing, carefully operate the unit to check if the noise has been eliminated.
- Smooth Operation: Proper alignment of the bushing ensures smooth operation and prevents any unwanted sounds or vibrations.
